Loto AD Project presents the Parthenope Suite, the new suite created for Punta Tragara, the historic hotel overlooking Capri’s Faraglioni. Designed by Giorgia Dennerlein, the project draws inspiration from the figure of Parthenope, translating her imagery into a spatial narrative that brings together memory, the identity of the place and the culture of hospitality.
Located in the main building of the hotel, the suite extends over approximately 70 sqm on a single level, articulated by a slight change in elevation of three steps. Two large windows open the interiors towards the outdoors, establishing a constant connection with the Capri landscape.
The architectural layout is built around a sequence of soft arches that guide the movement through the suite and define a continuous succession of spaces. Their configuration creates an enveloping perception that recalls the interior of a seashell, a reference that informs the overall composition.
Materials, surfaces and finishes contribute to creating an atmosphere inspired by the marine world. The walls are clad in wallcoverings with iridescent textures evoking mother-of-pearl and the organic forms of coral, reinterpreted through a contemporary language. The furnishings, designed and supplied by Loto AD Project, further develop this inspiration through rounded volumes and sinuous profiles that lend softness to the overall composition.
The colour palette favours delicate shades ranging from beige to powder pink. This range recalls the interior of a seashell and helps create luminous, suspended spaces, where natural light entering through the large openings enhances the materials and textures.
The narrative begins at the entrance, characterised by two architectural niches conceived as small aedicules. Inside them are artistic representations of two mermaids in pastel tones, created on site by artist Francesca Rota. Their discreet presence introduces the suite’s central theme without relying on overtly narrative elements.
Outside, the villa’s historic colours re-emerge: the coral tones of the architecture stand out against the deep blue of the Mediterranean and the profile of the island, strengthening the relationship between the interiors and the surrounding context.
With the Parthenope Suite, Giorgia Dennerlein and Loto AD Project create a setting where mythological references, material research and spatial quality converge in a hospitality concept that celebrates the unique character of Punta Tragara and its landscape.
